A daily word duel for two

Solve the same puzzle blind. Reveal it together.

You and one other person get the same word puzzle each day. You both solve it without seeing the other’s board — and the result stays sealed until you’re both done. Then it opens at once: You 3 / them 4. A running head-to-head a screenshot in a chat could never keep.

How Duelword works

  1. 1
    Invite your one rival

Start a duel and share one link. Your rival taps it and the duel opens — no sign-up, no account, no email. The invite is the whole setup, and it’s the only way to play: every duel is between two specific people.

  2. 2
    Both solve blind

You each get the same five-letter puzzle for the day — in English or Dutch, whichever your pair picks. You solve it without seeing their board, and they solve it without seeing yours. No peeking, no head start.

  3. 3
    Reveal together, keep the tally

The result stays sealed until you’ve both finished, then opens at once. Every duel ticks your running 1:1 head-to-head — wins, losses, ties — building all year between the two of you. That tally is what brings you back tomorrow.

More than a reskinned word game

  • The sealed simultaneous reveal. Neither of you sees the result until you’ve both finished — the one moment a “I got it in 3” screenshot can never fake.
  • A persistent 1:1 rivalry. Your whole head-to-head record builds across the year, between you and one person. The relationship is the point, not a global leaderboard.
  • The invite link is the game. No account, no profile to set up. One tap shares the duel; one tap shares an emoji result card to your chat when you’re done.
  • One purchase, no ads. Free covers one duel, 30 days of history, and the share card, forever. Pay once to unlock a second rival and your full record — no subscription, no ads, ever.
  • A real person answers. Email reaches the studio behind the app — no chatbot, no deflection maze.

Honest answers

How is this different from Wordle?

Wordle is solo. Duelword is two people on the same daily puzzle, solved blind and revealed only when you’re both done — plus a running 1:1 record that builds all year. The duel, the sealed reveal and the rivalry tally are the things a screenshot ritual can’t reproduce.

Do I need an account?

No. You start a duel and share a link; your rival taps it and you’re playing. There’s no sign-up, no profile, no email. The invite link is the whole pairing.

Which languages can we play in?

English or Dutch — your pair picks the puzzle language, and both curated word lists ship in the app. The interface is in English and Dutch too.

One-time? Really?

Really. €3.99 once, no subscription and no ads. Free covers one duel, 30 days of history, and the share card forever; the one-time unlock adds a second simultaneous rival and your full record.
